Welcome to the Italian Language Journal Challenge for JULY!
I am thrilled that you are joining (or thinking about joining!) the challenge and that you have committed to improving / practicing your Italian.
Keeping an Italian journal is a fantastic habit to start. It keeps vocabulary fresh and encourages you to look up new verb / phrases that are relevant to YOU!
This month, all questions are in the PRESENT TENSE.
Of course, if you have already been practicing other tenses in Italian, feel free to use them too.
These Italian journal prompts give you different topics to write about each day so that you can improve your writing skills and learn some new vocabulary.
By using the prompts, you can start to write quickly, without needing to think of something new all the time on your own.
Feel free to answer the questions as completely as you like and elaborate when you feel like you have more to say!
If the questions take you in a new direction, go for it! The whole point of this challenge is to get you writing as much as possible in Italian.

July 1, 2021 – LA MATTINA
Descrivi la tua mattina perfetta. Che cosa mangi? Che cosa fai? Chi vedi? A che ora ti svegli? Aggiungi tutti i dettagli che vuoi!
Describe your perfect morning. What do you eat? What do you do? Who do you see? What time do you wake up? Add all the details you want!
July 2, 2021 – UNA PERSONA IMPORTANTE
Parla di qualcuno che ammiri. Perché ammiri questa persona? In che modo questa persona ha cambiato la tua vita?
Talk about someone you admire. Why do you admire them? How has this person changed your life?
July 3, 2021 – ANIMALI DOMESTICI
Quale animale domestico vuoi avere? Perché? Pensi che avere un animale domestico sia importante? Perché a molte persone piace avere animali domestici?
What pet do you want to have? Why? Do you think that having a pet is important? Why do many people like having pets?
July 4, 2021 – SUPERPOTERI
Ora sei un supereroe / una supereroina! Qual è il tuo potere? Come usi il tuo potere per il bene/il male?

July 5, 2021 – OBIETTIVI PERSONALI

July 6, 2021 – UNA GIORNATA TIPICA
Cosa fai di solito in una giornata tipica? Dove vai? Chi vedi? Qual è la tua parte preferita della giornata?
What do you usually do on a typical day? Where do you go? Who do you see? What is your favourite part of the day?
July 7, 2021 – UN(A) BUON(A) AMICO/A
Chi è la persona con cui parli di più? Quanto spesso parli con lui/lei? Perché ti piace parlare con lui/lei? Da quanto lo/la conosci?
Who is the person that you talk to the most? How often do you talk to him/her? Why do you enjoy talking to him/her? How long have you known him/her?
July 8, 2021 – VIAGGIARE
Quale paese vuoi visitare? Perché vuoi andarci? Sai già molto di questo paese?

July 9, 2021 – SPORT / HOBBY
Qual è il tuo sport / hobby preferito? Da quanto tempo lo giochi/lo fai? Quanto spesso lo fai? Perché ti piace questo sport / hobby?
What is your favourite sport / hobby? How long have you been playing / doing it? How often do you do it? What do you enjoy about it?
July 10, 2021 – ABBIGLIAMENTO
Parliamo di abbigliamento! Cosa indossi oggi? Di quanto tempo hai bisogno per scegliere i tuoi vestiti la mattina? Preferisci essere alla moda o comodo/a? Che tipo di vestiti indossi di solito?
Let’s talk about clothing! What are you wearing today? How much time do you need to choose your clothes in the morning? Do you prefer to be fashionable or comfortable? What kind of clothes do you usually wear?
July 11, 2021 – RISTORANTI
Hai un ristorante preferito? Perché ti piace questo ristorante? Ordini sempre la stessa cosa? Cosa ordini di solito? Quanto spesso ci mangi?
Do you have a favourite restaurant? Why do you like this restaurant? Do you always order the same thing? What do you usually order? How often do you eat there?

July 13, 2021 – QUALCOSA CHE TI PIACE
